Laguz rune meaning
Laguz is the twenty-first rune of the Elder Futhark and stands for the sound l. Its name means water or lake. The Anglo-Saxon rune poem describes the sea as seeming endless to anyone who ventures out on a rocking ship when the waves frighten them.
Water is both life and danger, depth and movement. That's why Laguz speaks of emotions, of what can't be seen at first glance and of the ability to adapt to the current.
Laguz upright
Laguz upright invites you to trust your intuition and let yourself go with it. It can announce a sensitive, creative stretch or revealing dreams. What you feel is a good guide.
It's time to flow with change instead of fighting it. Like water, you'll find your way around obstacles. Pay attention to your dreams and hunches these days.
Laguz reversed
Laguz reversed points to emotional confusion, fear or the feeling of drowning in your feelings. It can mean you're making decisions out of fear, or that someone is manipulating you through your emotions.
The rune asks for calm: wait for the water to clear before you decide.
In love
In love, Laguz speaks of deep emotions, sensitivity and an intuitive connection with the other person. It's a favorable rune for romance.
Reversed, it warns of emotional dependence, jealousy or a relationship that pulls you under. Look after your own balance.
Work and money
At work, Laguz favors creative careers, caring for others and anything that relies on intuition. Trust your instincts when making decisions.
Reversed, it advises not letting emotions cloud your professional judgment. A calm head helps.
Laguz’s advice: Listen to what you feel and go with the current, but keep the shore in sight.
