Free Love Tarot Reading

Three cards for your love life: one for you, one for the other person and one for where the relationship is headed. Say first whether you are in a relationship, because the spread is read differently; then pick your three cards.

Are you in a relationship?

The three positions of the love tarot

The first card is you: what you truly feel, what you give, and what you expect. The second isthe other person, if you are in a relationship, or what is coming, if you are not: the energy approaching your heart. The third card is where it is headed: where the bond, or the new connection, goes if everything stays on the same track. Each card is read in its position and with only love in mind.

If you are in a relationship

The first two cards put side by side what each of you is living: sometimes they match and sometimes they do not, and that is where the most useful reading is. A Cups card usually points to a strong emotional bond; a Swords card, to words left unsaid or an argument waiting to happen. Ten of Cupsspeaks of a happy home; The Tower warns of a truth coming out. The third card says what can happen if nobody changes anything.

If you are single

The first card describes the state of your heart and how ready you are for a new relationship; the second, what is approaching: a person, an opportunity, or a lesson still pending. Ace of Cupsannounces the start of a new feeling; The Hermit says it is time to come back to yourself first. The third card shows where that connection can go if you give it room.

The love cards

Every card says something about love, but a few stand out: The Lovers speak of choice and commitment; Two of Cups, of mutual attraction;the Empress, of a love that nurtures and bears fruit. A love card reversed almost always points to a delay, or to one of the two people not being ready yet.

How to ask

Instead of "Does he love me?", try "What should I pay attention to in this relationship?" or "What is my heart ready for?" If what you want is a yes or a no, use the yes or no tarot. And if you are curious how two names fit together, try the love calculator.
